Acquisition Financing Guidance in Taylor

Most business purchases run on borrowed money. We help buyers and sellers set up financing the business can pay down from its own cash flow, with enough left over to keep the doors open, the equipment running and the staff paid.

Debt the business can live with

We don't make loans. What we do is broker deals, and we have watched plenty close and watched some struggle after closing. The difference is often the loan. A payment that eats every dollar of profit leaves nothing for upkeep, slow months or a new truck when the old one quits.

So we start with the numbers the business really produces. Then we help you size the down payment, the bank loan and any seller financing so the monthly payment fits with room to spare. That is how a business you buy stays healthy for the long haul.

We work with buyers and sellers across Taylor, Hutto, Round Rock and the rest of the area, at our office or by phone and video.

What our financing guidance covers

Cash flow review
We rebuild the seller's earnings from tax returns and books, adding back owner perks and one-time costs. Lenders base the loan on this number, so it has to hold up.
Loan structure options
We walk you through SBA-backed loans, conventional bank loans, seller notes and buyer cash. Most deals use a mix. We explain what each piece costs you over time.
Seller financing terms
When a seller carries part of the price, we help both sides agree on the rate, length and what happens if payments slip. A seller note also keeps the seller invested in a smooth handoff.
Lender-ready deal package
We pull together the summary, financials and buyer background a lender asks for. A clean package means fewer rounds of questions and less waiting.
Working capital planning
We make sure the plan leaves cash for inventory, payroll and upkeep after closing. Buyers who skip this step can end up short in month two.

Signs you need help with financing

  • You found a business but not the money

You have a target and some savings, but you don't know how much a bank will lend or what it will want from you.

  • A lender turned the deal down

A no from one bank is not always the end. Often the price, the structure or the paperwork needs work before the next try.

  • The payment looks tight

If the loan payment would take nearly all of the profit, the deal is fragile. We help you find a structure with breathing room or tell you plainly to walk.

  • The seller mentioned owner financing

Seller notes can help a deal close, but the terms matter. You want them in writing and clear before anyone signs.

  • You are selling and buyers can't get funded

Sellers need financeable deals too. If your books won't support a loan, buyers stall. We help you get the records in shape so buyers can borrow.

What shapes the cost of financing a purchase

Financing cost is what you pay the lender and seller over the life of the deal, not just the price of the business. A few things move it more than anything else. We explain each one so the loan you take on is one the business can keep paying.

Size of the down payment

More cash in means a smaller loan and lower payments. Lenders also look harder at deals with thin buyer equity.

Strength of the books

Clean, consistent tax returns support a bigger loan at better terms. Messy records shrink what a bank will lend.

Seller note terms

The rate and length of a seller note change your monthly load. A longer note can ease cash flow in the early years.

Real estate in the deal

When property is part of the sale, the loan may run longer and be structured differently. Our business and property sales service covers these deals.

Buyer experience

Lenders weigh your background in the industry or in running a business. Relevant experience can open better options.

How we work through financing with you

  1. 1

    Free consultation

We talk about the business, your cash on hand and your goals. No cost and no obligation.

  2. 2

    Run the numbers

We study the earnings and test what loan size the business can carry. You see the math, not just a yes or no.

  3. 3

    Build the structure

We lay out a mix of down payment, bank debt and seller financing. We show what the payment looks like in a normal month and a slow one.

  4. 4

    Prepare for the lender

We help you assemble the package and answer the questions banks usually ask. You choose the lender; we help you speak their language.

  5. 5

    Carry it to closing

We keep buyer, seller and lender moving on the same timeline. When terms shift, we check the payment still fits before you sign.

Financing questions buyers and sellers ask

Will you be the one funding my purchase?

We don't put up the money. That comes from a bank, an SBA lender, the seller or some mix of them. Our part is helping you compare those options, get the deal ready and work with whichever lender you pick. Since we earn nothing on the loan itself, our advice stays focused on whether the deal works.

How much cash do I need to buy a business?

It depends on the price, the lender and how much the seller will carry. Most buyers need real cash in the deal, and lenders want to see it. We look at your situation and the business together so you get a real answer instead of a rule of thumb.

Is seller financing a good idea?

It often is. It lowers what you borrow from a bank and keeps the seller interested in your success after the handoff. The terms need to be clear and in writing. We help both sides set them up fairly.

What will a lender want to see from me?

Usually personal financial statements, tax returns, a resume showing your experience and a plan for running the business. They also want the seller's financials. We help you gather it all in one place.

Can you help if I'm the seller?

Yes. A business buyers can't finance is hard to sell. We help sellers organize records and think through carrying a note so more buyers can get to the closing table. We have over $5 million in businesses sold, and getting financing right was part of many of those deals.

What does your guidance cost?

The first consultation is free. If you list your business with us, you pay nothing up front. There is no retainer to sign and no surprise charge tacked on later. Our fee comes out of the sale, so we see a paycheck only after the seller gets theirs.
