Sell a Business in Taylor
We help business owners sell what they built, quietly and on fair terms. We price it from your real numbers, screen buyers before they learn your name, and help you keep the business running strong until closing. You pay nothing up front.
Selling is easier when the business stays healthy
A business sells for what it can prove it earns. Buyers look at clean books, steady customers, a good lease and a team that shows up. Most of that is already there in a well-run company. Our job is to show it clearly and protect it while the sale is underway.
Plenty of sales fall apart because the owner gets pulled into the deal and the shop slips. Sales dip, a key employee hears a rumor, a lease renewal gets missed. We carry the marketing, buyer calls and paperwork so you can keep doing the upkeep that holds your value.
Our track record stands at over $5 million in businesses sold. We work with owners in Taylor, Hutto, Round Rock and the rest of the area, at our office or by phone and video.
What we handle when you sell
A valuation built on your books
We start with a free, confidential valuation. We look at tax returns, profit and loss statements and owner add-backs to find what a buyer can actually earn. If you want more detail first, see our Business Valuation page.
A confidential listing
Your listing describes the business without naming it. Buyers sign a confidentiality agreement before they see the name, location or financials. New listings go to registered buyers first.
Buyer screening
We ask buyers about their cash, experience and financing before a meeting is set. You only spend time with people who can close.
Offers and negotiation
We walk you through each offer line by line: price, cash at closing, seller financing, training period and noncompete terms. Then we push back where it makes sense.
Due diligence and closing
We keep the buyer's document requests organized, work with the lender, attorneys and CPAs, and track every deadline to the closing table. If real estate is part of it, our Business and Property Sales service covers that side.

Signs it may be time to sell
- You are running on fumes
- The business still makes money, but you dread Monday. Selling while it is strong beats selling after you burn out and numbers slide.
- Retirement is a few years out
- Buyers pay more for a business with a few clean years of records and a plan for handoff. Starting early gives you time. Our Exit Planning service can help you set the timeline.
- Growth needs money you do not want to spend
- A new location, more trucks or a bigger building may be the next step. A buyer with fresh capital may be the right person to take it.
- Your lease is coming up
- A renewal is a natural point to decide. A buyer will want lease terms that run well past closing.
- Someone already made you an offer
- An unsolicited offer is a good reason to learn what the business is really worth before you answer.
How a sale works with us
- 1
First conversation
You call, we talk about your business and your goals. It is free and confidential. No pressure to list.
- 2
Valuation and prep
We go through your tax returns and statements, then tell you the price range buyers are likely to pay and what drives that number. We also flag small fixes that help, like tidying up records or putting key contracts in writing.
- 3
Quiet marketing
We list the business without your name and reach out to registered buyers first. Interested buyers sign a confidentiality agreement and get screened.
- 4
Meetings and offers
Qualified buyers meet you, often after hours so staff are not unsettled. We collect offers, compare them with you and negotiate the terms.
- 5
Diligence, closing and handoff
We manage document requests, lender steps and the closing date. After closing, you train the new owner for the period you agreed on.
What it costs and what moves your sale price
Listing with us costs you nothing up front. There is no retainer to sign, and no fees tucked into the fine print. Our fee comes out of the sale at closing, so we get paid only after you do. What you walk away with depends mostly on what the business is worth and how the deal is structured.
- Clean, provable earnings
- Buyers and lenders pay for income they can verify. Tax returns that match your books carry real weight.
- How much rides on you
- If every customer calls your cell, a buyer sees risk. A trained manager and written processes raise value.
- Lease and location terms
- A long, transferable lease supports a better price. A short or unassignable lease can stall a deal.
- Equipment and upkeep
- Well-kept equipment and vehicles mean the buyer is not facing big spending in year one. That shows up in the offer.
- Deal structure
- Cash at closing, seller financing and earnouts change the headline price and your net. We explain the tradeoffs before you sign.
Questions sellers ask
- Will my employees and customers find out?
- Not from us. Your listing does not name the business, and every buyer signs a confidentiality agreement before learning who you are. We set meetings away from your staff when we can. Most owners tell employees close to closing, once the deal is solid.
- How long does it take to sell?
- It depends on the business, the price and how ready your records are. Some sell in a few months, others take longer. Getting your financials in order before listing is the biggest thing that shortens the wait.
- Do I have to pay anything to list?
- No. You write no check to get started and sign no retainer. Our fee is paid from the sale at closing, so if the business does not sell, you do not owe us a fee.
- Should I keep running the business like normal?
- Yes, and that matters a lot. Keep marketing, keep up with maintenance and keep staff steady. A dip in sales during the process can lower the price or scare off a buyer.
- Will I have to carry some of the financing?
- Often a buyer asks the seller to finance part of the price. It can widen your pool of buyers and help with bank approval. We help you weigh the risk, and buyers can lean on our Acquisition Financing Guidance to line up the rest.
